HOW TO CONVINCE MY GIRLFRIEND PARENTS TO ALLOW ME MARRY THEIR DAUGHTER?

My girlfriend parents refused me to marry their daughter because I didn't show up when they requested for me to come and see them. They claim that I'm not a serious person. Please how can I convince them since they won't allow me to come to the house? Please help me. Also note that we are both Muslim
